Storybird is a fun site where kids can create their own digital storybooks.  The site has a beautiful interface both for students and teachers, and it’s free and easy to set up a teacher account to create and manage classes.  In Storybird, students can use gorgeous artwork to illustrate stories that they write.  The site uses a simple, intuitive drag-and-drop interface that is easy for even young learners to master.  The teacher interface lets you create as many classes as you need, and you can assign projects and create classroom libraries with just a few clicks.  Stories can be written either individually, or collaboratively.  Authors have the ability to invite others to join them in creating and editing stories.  The site makes it easy to share student work with family and friends online, and you can also purchase printed or digital copies of your books once they are created.
