This Saturday I spent a wonderful day with the folks at Edcamp South Jersey. I was invited to bring the Mobile Makerspace with me, so I was there bright and early to set up. This year’s event was a little smaller than last year’s, but I have a fondness for the smaller edcamps. They give me a chance to have really in-depth conversations with people rather than rushing from person to person to answer quick questions.
I brought my usual Dollar Store STEM projects, as well as some of my newer toys. The Bloxels kit and the Robot Turtles game got a lot of attention. As usual, the catapults were a huge hit, and we even had several young Makers come to play in the Makerspace.
It was another great day of learning with awesome educators!
