Most people have saved bookmarks in their browser at one time or another.  It’s a handy way of saving websites that you visit often, or want to remember to go back to in the future.  Unfortunately, the basic browser bookmarking tools leave a lot to be desired.  Most will save just the website address and the name of the website.  Plus, your bookmarks are only available on the computer you saved them on!

Diigo takes bookmarking to the next level with some very powerful, yet easy to use, tools.  Diigo saves your bookmarks in the cloud, allowing you to access them from any computer with internet access.  This in itself is a wonderful feature, making your bookmarks totally portable, but it doesn’t stop there.

Diigo also allows you to highlight, annotate, take notes, save screenshots and pictures, and lots more.  With all of its features, Diigo becomes not just a bookmarking tool, but also a research tool.  With the ability to share bookmarks and notes with other people in your network, Diigo also becomes a collaboration tool.

The newly introduced Diigo for Education makes this a fabulous tool for teachers and students as well.  With an educator account, teachers can create student accounts without the need for email addresses, and create class groups for students to research and collaborate.  Diigo is free, and private, making it a great way for classes to share and learn together.

There are even more great features of Diigo, so check it out today!
